Everyone who considers themselves queer is welcome to submit articles/reviews/galleries/videoblogs etc to Queer Compass. We are a non restrictive community looking for other adventurers who want a place to share their trvels. Below are the submission requirements. Your submission will only appear if you meet all of the required guidelines.
Queer Compass posts written, pictorial, video or a combo of media, depending on the content submitted.
Full Credit is given to all submissions. Work must be original or you must have license or permission to use the material from the owner. We DO NOT offer compensation for submissions. If you are a professional queer traveler and wish to submit features please contact email@queercompass.com
You will not be allowed your own blog write/edit access until you have published at least 5 submissions. Then you may apply for the ability to post your own content. As an approved article blog contributor you automatically receive Premium access.
Please include links to external websites, credits, etc that you want included with the submission. Your full name and email contact information must be included. If we cannot contact you through email you will not be published.
The following formats will be accepted as content submissions. Specs are included.
Text Files (DO NOT use formating)
- Microsoft Word or Compatible
- Plain Text
- Textmate / Notepad
Images (Must all be in JPG format @ 72px resolution min size 1080×750
- You can pre edit your photos and indicate so in submission
Video
- H.264/MPEG-4 AVC
- HTML5 video should be indicated and both a Ogg Theora/WebM-VP8 so it will play in all browsers
- offer a HD and SD version where possible
If you are pulling video from your YouTube/Vimeo or other video site please include the full path to the video.
All submissions are to be compressed to a ZIP file and sent to [submissions] at queercompass .dot com with the information you want the article credited to.
